Education for Sustainable Environment Development

EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABLE ENVIRONMENT DEVELOPMENT

            Education is essential for everyone. Education helps people earn respect and recognition. In my opinion, it is indispensable part of life both personally and socially. The importance of education is undeniable for every single person. It goes without saying that education has a positive effect on human life. All people need to study. Only with the advent of education people can gain knowledge and enlarge their view over the world.         

Education is absolutely beneficial for society on the whole. It is a life-long process to each person that needs to be reinforced throughout life. However, we need education system that may eradicate illiteracy and may provide the common man an access not only to basic education but also to higher and technical education. Education aim is to change the cognitive, skill and affective aspect of human. This is potential field to change the environmental behavior of human.

Awareness and understanding of environmental issues provide the basis and rationale for commitment and meaningful action towards environmentally sound and sustainable development.         Global environmental issues, such as the greenhouse effect, the decimation of biological diversity and the consumption of finite resources can only be solved on the basis of more intensive global awareness. People with an understanding of the ecological, economic and social correlations at global level are needed overcome these challenges.

            To achieve environmental sustainable development, it is necessary to change people’s ecological perception including environmental awareness and understanding. The challenge that countries around the world therefore face is to integrate the concept of sustainable development in their education processes. Environmental education is based on building awareness and identification with personal living environments. It is therefore not merely the conveyance of knowledge, but a process of learning about the concept of political action.

            It is important to establish environmental education programmers and communication measures to enhance popular awareness for the environment and create the basis for a new awareness of responsibility. Through education, we can conduct creative, varieties, and innovative program to enhance environmental awareness. Therefore, educated persons, first will have knowledge to save environment, then from that knowledge will awaken the environment awareness and finally good environment attitude will planted in their self.
